Just regulars

In July, we went to eat at a Chinese restaurant in town. While eating Grace over heard the workers speaking to each other in Chinese. She asked us, "what kind of people are these?" I replied, " they are Chinese." Wade then asked her, "what kind of people we were?" and she replied, "just regular."

Prayer

We surprised the Kids with a Barbie Mustang! THey love it! Wade was putting batteries in so the radio would work and the little brother walked off with a main screw. We looked everywhere, I mean everywhere and it was nowhere to be found. Grace was so upset! She walked in the house and fell to her knees and said a prayer to Heavenly Father that we would find the missing piece. I saw her on her knees and that was a very precious sight! It was so sweet! A few minutes later I found the missing peice in a place that I had walked by a hundred times. She said mom I prayed that we would find the missing peice and Jesus helped you see it! If only I had the faith of my 5 year old daughter!

We LOVE Snow Canyon!

We bought a state parks pass for the boat rental and we have been using it a ton! A few weeks ago we skipped church and went on a picnic and a hike and just spent some quality time together. We were on a hunt for some wild Indians and we never found them but we found their sign! The kids were so excited! We have been going there in the early evenings to play in the sand...that never gets old! That night we also, roasted hot dogs and had s'mores by a campfire their in the park it was so much fun! We hope to do it again soon and maybe even camp overnight too! We love camping!

Becky

My little sister Becky came to St. George on a dance tour. They performed at Tuacahn and we got to watch- it was so much fun! The next day I happened to have the day off so I drove to Mesquite with the kids and we went swimming at the Mesquite rec center which not even close to being as cool as the new one in Washington. But, it was fun because we got to spend time with Becky and my kids loved every minute of it! Love ya Beck- Thanks for visiting!

Pirate Island Pizza and UP in 3D!

Posted by Picasa
We finally went to the new pizza place called Pirate Island pizza. The kids loved it as did I. It was so much fun! The workers were all dressed up like pirates it was so much fun, Gunners face would light up every time he would see a guy that was wearing a long haired wig in dreads. It was funny! Each seating area has a different theme. The pizza we got was Canadian bacon and pineapple and the pineapple was seasoned with cinnamon it was yummy! The people next to us ordered a huge pizza it was about 32 inches in diameter it was huge! We had so much fun we will have to go again! Later in the month we took them to see UP in 3D and it was so cute! Gunner loved it and wore his glasses the entire time! He was glued! The movie was so cute and the kids laughed through most of it. I even enjoyed it quit a bit! Good family times! I love them!

We were so proud she learned so much! She is missing her friends from school and Miss Debbie too! Miss Debbie has a few look-a-likes around town too! If Grace sees someone she will say oh, she looks like miss Debbie is it her? The Graduation was so cute! My favorite was chewy chewy bubblegum the song and the space ship count down it was so fun to watch her perform! Oh, I can't believe my little girl will be in Kindergarten in the Fall! I guess I am getting older too! Part of me is excited and part of me is nervous! I know she will shine in Kindergarten! Good Luck Grace we Love you!!

Our First Adventure to Lake Powell

1st trip to Lake Powell ( this is a long story)

As some of you know Wade has started a boat rental with his brothers boat. He has a website and people from all over can come rent the boat or he will drive it to their lake of choice. His very first renters were from Colorado and they wanted the boat at Bullfrog in May. So we headed north the long way to Lake Powell. It took us 8 or so hours to get there. First of all I was not prepared as far as food. I had the thought that we would stay in a hotel so I only threw in a few hot dogs and some stuff I had around the house. Well, we were on our way and I said to Wade did you check the tires and service the truck? He said, we are fine. (the truck has needed new tires for a few years now) so we are in the middle of nowhere with no service on our cell phones and we blow a tire! I was so ticked!! luckily we were almost to an exit but nothing off that exit for 50 miles. we were already late for the delivery. Well, the spare tire had not been taken down for a good 5 years and it was stuck under the truck. I was even more mad! It took all the strength wade had to get that spare off the truck. Once the spare was off and it wasn't a good one mind you. An hour later...He put it on and we drove 50 mph the rest of the way. Our renters were mad because they paid for early pick up and we were really late. Lesson learned leave even earlier just in case. So, we found a campsite to camp in and Wade says, so whats for dinner? I said I guess bagels and cream cheese. so that's what we had we didn't even have firewood so after our bagels we went to bed. The next day Wade took the boat to the renters and we dove 50 mph to find a place that we could get a new tire which took the entire day because there is nothing out there for miles. It was pretty stinky. At about 6 that night we were headed back to the camp. It just seemed like everything that could go wrong went wrong.

The kids loved sleeping in a tent and Wade loved cooking the hot dogs on the little grill cover over the fire pit and removing them with a pair of pliers. Not prepared! We took the kids fishing 2 times and grace almost caught one but by the time wade got to her it was a goner! They were so sad that they didn't catch a fish. Maybe next time! we took them to a sandy beach area and they played for hours it was fun! Some people were unloading there houseboat right by us and they left their knee board out on the sand and Gunner got on and was riding it around it was hilarious! he had a blast!!

In all we had a great time and the next trip to Powell we will be more prepared.
oh, and when we picked the boat up the renters had messed up the prop and some other stuff and ended up paying for the damage. It was a rough first rental but from there on out everything has been GREAT!!

Check out our site: Wade designed it, it is awesome!

May 2009 Recap

Happyness
the kids received kites in their Easter baskets and they loved flying them!

that's my boy! (he is only 5 pounds less than Grace!)
I think he likes it too!
This time it was flour and it went all the way around the bar and into the living room! Possibly my fault again for leaving the flour out on the counter! oops!
Wade was in the process of cleaning up the desitin that he had just squeezed out all over the bar stool when he got to the flour. Seriously Grace never did anything close to this when she was 2! I was at work!

Geocahing! we hiked this lava rock mountain bluff whatever you call it kind of behind our house. It was fun! Grace climbed to the top all by herself. It was beautiful up there. we could see all of St. George. If we put all our pictures together it would be an enormous panoramic picture. we could see the temple and then all the way to Ivins! It was neat!

I went up to Provo to watch Becky dance in the National Ballroom competition which she did very well. She also received a half tuition scholarship that weekend to BYU. Way to go Beck! It was so fun to go back and spend time with my mom and dad and share cancer stories or should I say miracles. Our family has been so blessed. Many tears were shed as i visited with my dad about the blessings he received while being treated. There is some amazing people in this world!

New Pictures Finally!

Well, I decided that since the last time I had professional pictures taken (if you can call them professional) was when Gunner was 7 weeks old. I thought we better take advantage of the free 8x10 for the kids birthdays. I really hate this place but who can complain about a free picture. They turned out pretty cute!

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Posted by Picasa
Last night I had the opportunity to be part of something very special. It was a fireside put on by the Relief Society in our ward. The theme was "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." You all know the story how five of the virgins were good and five were bad. The five that were good were prepared with extra oil when the bridegroom came and the others were not. I learned something different from each one that I need to work on to get rid of a bad habit or create a good habit so that I can be prepared spiritually and physically to meet my Savior.
